Reading week was good overall. Tried to do some of everything but ended up doing nothing well. Didn't do as much studying as I wanted to and didn't spend enough time with everyone that I wanted to. Sigh... I get the feeling life is not going to get much better...

Funny thing in tax class today. Prof was talking about the 4Ps of marketing, trying to list them out..."What are they again? Price, Promotion, and... Placement... and ... oh Piss on it" .... hahahaha.... that cracked me up so much....

Okay back to studying... 40% midterm tomorrow night... gotta remember how to hand-write exams again....

Feb sweeps - gotta love them! Friends & ER were great - laughed my head off watching Friends...One Tree Hill - just when I thought it seemed like everything was becoming too good, ep 12 comes along and it's all mixed up again...Alias is only one new episode this month though The Superbowl/Grammys/Oscars are getting in the way...Oh! And just when I vowed I wouldn't watch it again, the O.C. tonight is supposed to be REALLY good as Marissa finally grows a brain. I just might actually watch it ...

But that's enuf talk about tv for now, gotta get back to my never-ending readings...

Found this quote, or rather saw and remembered this old quote: "Work smarter not harder"... in light of my fellow students here, I can only laugh....

My dad would probably change it to "Work smarter AND harder" though... which I can't disagree with...

Oh! I found this quote on the Apprentice website, it's the fave quote of Omarosa. For those who know my dad, it sounds exactly like something he would say, no? (Whoops, Bern and Curt, I was supposed to forward it to you last week - better late than never...):

Recipe for Success:

Study while others are sleeping;

Work while others are loafing;

Prepare while others are playing; and

Dream while others are wishing.

Went with some ppl to this Chinese restaurant called Leung Yu I think... also unofficially known as the purple place... We had hot pot with two pots for 8 ppl... There was beef, chicken, lamb, squid, tripe, mussels, nappa (aka chinese lettuce), spinach, noodles, eggs, (btw, did you know you're supposed to mix a raw egg with the soya sauce and satay stuff to make it all a flavourful sauce with which to serve your food?), tofu, etc...We were there eating for three hours!  Now I only have two words to say: sooooooooo fuuuuuuuuullllllllllllllllllll...................

Oh my.. I must really break myself of the habit of reading spoilers... I just read a spoiler about the two-parter series finale of Friends and I'm already bawling....okay well not that bad.. but I am tearing... a lot.... Man, what am I going to do when it actually airs? Sigh... this only further reinforces my intentions to BUY all ten seasons of the show on DVD... I love this show...

In other news, I did this quiz that a friend had on her blog. It's called "Do you use your left or right hemisphere more?" and it's found here: http://www.mindmedia.com/. Let me know what you think. Except for the career recommendation, I found the rest of it uncannily correct. It was eerie. It was one of the, if not the, most accurate one of these things I've ever done.... eerie...

I'm having severe problems with my alarm clock. I can't hear it anymore! And when I finally get around to hearing it, which is usually like an hour after it was first initially set off, I involuntarily hit snooze for another half hour...Now I know why Mel blasted her alarm clock when she lived in this room... Mel, I think there's some sort of sleeping disease you get when you live in this room. Either that or it's your bed, it doesn't want to let anyone get out of it so it worked out a secret alliance with the alarm clock not to work.... There's a conspiracy....

Speaking of which, while waiting for Survivor to come on last night, I watched the end of the Superbowl while my housemate tried to explain it to me. Vaguely remember learning football from Mrs. Oatley-Willis's class...Saw the field goal at the end though....Survivor was much more interesting... I want Rudy to win.  He's so cute... like a gruff but cuddly grandpa...

Helped make cute chocolate chip cookies for CCF on Friday. That cookie mix from Quaker is great! Yum... I tested a lot of them, just in case you know.... Last night, my roommate made cupcakes too... we decided to be experimental and stuck a ferrero rocher in 4 of them and a little marshmallow chunk in another 4. I didn't have a marshmallow one but the ferror rocher ones were delish! The outside chocolate and nuts melted and kinda spread out. But the wafer and inner contents of the chocolate remained intact. Mmmmm... Must try again next time with other chocolates...

Been feeling kinda sick all weekend too though.. Hope I didn't catch something when I went home last weekend. But now that I read what I just typed, I hope it's not because of the excessive desserts, cuz that would be sad... very sad...Anyway, back to work...
