I got my marks back. I passed!!!  Thank you to all who prayed!!!

Wow it's been a crazy week. I've had sushi/sashimi three times - mmmmm.....Switched rooms, cleaned a fridge, cleaned a commercial sized freezer, breathed in a lot of dust, vaccuumed like a crazy woman, used up  4 swiffer cloths, 3 swiffer wet jet cloths, 3 swiffer dusters, a whole bottle of Lysol (all this only making a house just barely acceptable), cleaned up mildew....been back down the rabbit hole and now have emerged again for the weekend. (the rabbit hole being the crazy life I lead in Loo)....and since the last time that I've posted, 6 out of those 7 days have been spent in training. I've got more information about writing comps and multis and integrating information than I know to do with. I don't think I'm even processing information anymore. I'm just trying to gather more and more information and hoping that I'll have to time to process it later...

A family friend stopped by the house last week and mentioned how his mom calls him nearly every night (he's on a consulting engagement away from home). And my mom and I laughed because even though we're close (or at least I'd think so) we don't talk all that much. And that made me think about the impact a person's first relationships (i.e. the relationship between parent and child) have on their future relationships. My mom and I are close and we share a lot but we don't feel the urge to call each other up and talk about "nothing" - we only call each other if one has something to tell or ask of the other. With my friends, I'm pretty much the same way. I generally don't call people unless I have something specific to talk to them about - there is the rare exception but on the whole, the general rule applies. I've begun to realize that most ppl don't operate this way and my method risks ppl drifting off from each other and I've tried to adjust more to ppl because of that but I don't think I'll ever completely change. Is it that I'm too "independent" or that my friendship methods reflect the relationship methods I have with my parents?

I'm very sorry I didn't have more faith in my hometown hockey team... I was very happy to see them win though yesterday night and go onto Round 2! Yippee!

I'm quite tired right now... been meeting up for the past three days (Monday to Wednesday) for about an average of 7 hours each day to write practice exams and debrief them...on a little bit of an overload...went to relax tonight and satisfy my shopping crave at the mall with my good friend anfie ... hit up H&M (saw lotsa stuff I liked but most were way too big), Tristan America (I'm going there again when I start work), RW&Co (I gotta go back when this skirt I've been eyeing goes on sale), Passion, Gap, Jacob, and even Bulk Barn (mmm...plantain chips)...  The saleslady at one of the stores was even in shock when she overheard me saying that I hadn't gone shopping since January, other than for groceries that is.  Sigh.. quite satisifed now.. that trip should tide me over until two weeks time when I go with dri.  Don't get me wrong I'm not a shopaholic but if you coop up a girl for 2 months where the only places she goes are campus, grocery store, church and home, cabin fever tends to set in...and that... that can make almost anyone a little crazy.

Sorry haven't posted in a bit. Everytime I've wanted to post motime has been down, I think it's like their backup or maintenance period or something... Weekend was great.

1. Read three books in 36 hours... I didn't realize how much I missed reading for fun...Pure fun for the mind - it's entertainment but not in a completely mind-numbing way. Read Sophie Kinsella's (of the famous Shopaholic series) newest book in her newest series as well as the sequel to the Bridget Jones' Diary book.. Both books are a little like comedies with just a dash of romance thrown in. Read the newest James Patterson novel and now it's onto the newest Kay Scarpetta novel by Patricia Cornwell... both good mysteries... I love "fun" reading...

2. Got to hangout at home and just veg...It was nice but I think I don't want to spend too much of my break doing that... lots of other places to go, things to do and people to see!

3. Speaking of which, got to catch up with some good friends, some over good (and edible too...miraculous!) food and movies, and some over lovely coffee (mmm.. Maple Creme at Second Cup...mmm)...

4. Last but not least, I got to catch up on some good tv! Knew Bill would win the Apprentice, especially after Kwame got screwed over by Omarosa (grr... that woman makes my blood boil ). I think Kwame will be a good executive too just as long as he doesn't handle HR. Oh yes and got to watch Alias tonight!!! only 3 more new episodes for this season. I read all the spoilers and know a lot of what is going to happen but I'm still so excited to watch them and find out how everything is seen on screen. Love Alias!!!

Now if I can only find someone who's not working or not studying to go shopping with me, this break will be complete... but alas, I think I shall have to wait a bit longer for this wish to be granted. Anyway, it's late and I have a wonderful day filled with practice exams awaiting for me in a few short hours. Time for sleep. eh - maybe I'll read a chapter or two or three before ... nite

Hey, who's EB gen#2 that left a msg in the Msg Depot on the side?

Just finished my first official full day away from the Loo. Slept in til like 2:30 - haven't done that since ... oh third year? Feel like I wasted so much of the beautiful day away but I definitely need it.. those bags under my eyes are starting to recede now.

I met up with my former roommate who's in town on vacation from Goldman Sachs.... GREAT to see her again... went for dinner at the Bottom Line with some other Ivey ppl.  We ran into a couple other Ivey ppl while waiting for everyone to meet up.  It's crazy how many former classmates are downtown.  After dinner and watching the Leafs lose (sigh), we went to see (another classmate) Jeff Thomas and his band perform. They were really good! The band's name is Morning After and they're working on their debut CD right now, to arrive in June. They were performing at this place (I think it was a bar) called the Underground Garage. It was a tiny little place but it was packed... and on a Wednesday night no less. All in all it was quite an enjoyable and relaxing night....So far I'd say this break is going quite well.

My exams are now over! Yippee!!! I can only pray that I passed but despite that, I'm so happy that's it over with!!! Plus to make things even better, I watched Chocolat, the newest episode of One Tree Hill, Paycheck, and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton (pretty cute movie).  BUT best of all, the absolute topper of the day, my mom bought Strawberry Almond Meringue from Maxim's (may-sum in Chinese) for me... my absolute favourite cake in the entire world (strawberries and meringue? what better combination could there possibly be?!?!) mmmmmm.......

To "reward" those of you who actually read this, here's a link to 2 for 1 fries from New York Fries http://www.newyorkfries.com/coupon/index.php?a=2 ... supposedly it's legitimate and it works.

My printer is driving me nuts right now.. i finally figured out how to get the printer to print more than one page per sheet of paper and double sided too by itself using properties that came built in to the printer (who knew?), without manually having to print out page per page and feed it in and make the the document into columns and shrink the font, etc..  I've had this printer for like 5 years and I figure it out now... hahaha ... It's been working fine but today it's made my computer crash like 3 times already in the past 3 hours.  When I went to turn on my printer it crashed - black screen with green line on top to be exact.  When I went to print an article that I cut and pasted into Word, it froze then crashed.  When I went to print a tax case that I had cut and pasted into Word, it froze.  This is driving me nuts. What is wrong with my computer? Is it having sympathy stress pains?

oh yes, i remember now one of the other things i wanted to say. (this only shows just how much I'm procrastinating) After exhausting games.yahoo.com, I have reached into the bottom of the barrel.  I revived my neopet account! It's amazing I haven't touched it for like three years but my kacheek is still alive and my balance is still there.. it didnt' get stolen!.. If you know what I'm referring to when I talk about neopets, dont' laugh.... If you don't, I'm not quite sure you want to find out, hahahaha...

The world of Loo is quite strange.  Two days ago, there was snow on the ground, and the down jacket, scarf, gloves and ear muffs were out. Today it's bright, clear sunny (albeit a little chilly). There are city workers out mowing the grass and tilling the beds and irises are starting to spring up.  This loo.. such a a crazy place.

okay two exams down and one more to go...during the normal school season, sometimes I'll forget to eat lunch before I go to my afternoon classes but now during exam season all i do is eat.. so bad... i probably gained 10 pounds along to go with the zits that have sprung up... hahaha... i think the eating is a side effect of the do-anything-by-study-mindset... If God is so graceful as to let me pass this term's courses I promise not to procrastinate ever again...nor use eating as an excuse .... well at least not during the next term.... but back to food, I finally opened up a bag of cookies that my dad got in a gift basket.  And to my surprise and great pleasure, they were shortbread cookies with chocolate centres!!! Just like the ones I fell in love with during the One of Kind Show last Christmas!  These ones are made by a different company (cookieitup.com rather than shortandsweet.com) but they're both Canadian.  These ones are also a little bigger though I think, and they look more homemade ....but both types are equally yum... I think these will be able to tide me over til I go home next week and get the ones that my girls picked up for me during the Spring One of A Kind Show (thank you thank you thank you girls!)...

Thank you for everyone who prayed for me today during my exam today.  I have no idea how I did  so I'm still a little worried but I'll try not to dwell on it...I got another exam and another paper to stress over   I think I really need to work on my time management when writing exams though.  That and learn how to write faster and neater.  I miss typing out exams. Thx for your prayers! Please don't give me any "I'm sure you did fine" remarks"... just keep praying  For everyone else studying for exams, studying for CKE, some other studying, or working, I'll be praying for you too...

That's it for now.  I'm suffering what post-exam syndrome so I can't think properly.. well at least any more so than I normally can...later

This whole time change thing is screwing me up. I look out the window and it's sunny and bright (albeit freezing) and then I look at the clock.  Usually it's a double take as  my head screams What?!?!  It's too sunny to be so late and yet it is.... Before i know it a whole day is gone by, only a minimal amount of studying is accomplished and I feel more drained than I did when I woke up.

Mel, if you find out what's making you so tired and what you can take to wake you back up lemme know... sigh.. oh yeah... and if Bren and I are gonna be cooking? Then dearie, you are gonna be the one cleaning!

On another note, I finally updated my msn and now I can see pictures! And the new emoticons! I spent a whole "study break" just looking at the photos of everyone on my list that was online. Plus I drove some friends nuts testing out every single new emoticon on them...Okay back to work... 2 exams and one 25 page paper left to go.

It's amazing the things one will do just to avoid studying.

Just about the only thing I haven't done yet is iron my just-washed but wrinkled clothes, and clean the kitchen/bathroom/my room/living room/etc.. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow
